Detailed Itinerary for Days Best of Uganda Tours
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport.
Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport you will be received by our company representative, later transfer to the hotel of residence for dinner and overnight either in Entebbe or Kampala depending on your flight arrival time.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park.
With an afternoon launch cruise and hike top of the falls. Depart from Serena hotel with packed breakfast at 6:00 Am in the morning, to Murchison falls National Park, later check in at Paara safari lodge for lunch and refreshments. At 2:00PM go for the launch cruise to the bottom of the falls, this exposes you to some of the wildlife species such as hippos, crocodiles and bird species on the banks of the Nile like the Giant African fin foot, white tailed warbler, after go hike top of the falls as you have a glance at the falls with the beautiful views of other wildlife species take photos to remark your Murchison falls safari and later retire for the day break with Dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Early Morning game drive and transfer to Fort portal.
After an early morning breakfast, check out of the hotel for a morning game drive. Then after transfer to Kibale National Park through lake Albert escarpment area, with a great view of the western rift valley, as we drive to Hoima, have a brief stop for lunch and leg stretching after proceeding with the drive to Fort portal through kagadi towns and Mabale with great views the local architectural designs, tea plantations later go check in at the lodge with dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Chimp trekking and do an afternoon community visit at Bigodi village.
Early morning breakfast, continue to Kibale park headquarters for a morning briefing and start the chimpanzee trekking experience and return for lunch later proceed with a drive to Bigodi community sanctuary, here you will be able to listen to stories about present and future from a fortune teller, traditional marriage initiations, visit to the Bigodi women group such as Craft making groups and peanut butter making group for souvenir buying after we retire for the day break with dinner and overnight. Day 5: Transfer to Ruboni Community camp for Mt Rwenzori experience.
Wakeup early morning for breakfast, later check out of the lodge for the drive to Ruboni community camp located on the edges of Mountain Rwenzori and a get way to the Rwenzori National park, upon arrival at this place you will receive a warm welcome from the local communities who have in habited this area for over 500 years as you listen to stories after go for hike to the Mountains up to Mahoma loop with a view of Mahoma lake with a view of other wildlife species such as monkeys and birds later retire for the day break with dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via the Ishasha sector.
After morning breakfast, check out of the lodge for a drive through wilderness of Queen Elizabeth National Park (Ishasha Sector) as we search for the famous tree climbing lions, while also viewing other wildlife species, after going for lunch and relaxation later proceed with a drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and later check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Gorilla trekking experience.
After an early breakfast, at 08am we drive to the UWA headquarters for a briefing prior plus meeting the guides as well as separation into the groups basing on which gorilla group you will to be tracking. Gorilla tracking entails climbing and hiking watching them only a few meters away from the baby with the mothers, the gorillas partaking their everyday routine just right in front of you is all very overwhelming and the most exciting lifetime experience, there after we retire for the daybreak with dinner and overnight at the lodge. Day 8: Half a day community visit and afternoon transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
Wakeup early morning for breakfast and later go a village walk to some of the neighboring communities in Bwindi such as the Buhoma women group, here you will be able to experience some of the traditional cultural performances such dancing, basket weaving and traditional dancing as you learn and interact with locals after go for lunch and relaxation later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in the south west for relaxation and site viewing with dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National park.
After an early morning breakfast, check out of the lodge for a visit to the communities around lake Bunyonyi or go for a boat ride to some of the Islands such as Akampene Island (‘’Punishment Island’’) as you learn and experience the traditional cultural norms of the Bakiga community who I habit the areas of Kabale highlands and Lake Bunyonyi after go for lunch and later drive to Lake Mburo National park through the beautiful terraced hills of Kabale and have a brief stop for leg stretching at Igongo Museum in Mbarara as we continue with a drive to the park for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Half a day game drive and transfer to Entebbe international airport for the flight back home.
Wakeup early, for the game drive in search of the early morning risers and also drive to the Salt lick point in Lake Mburo, this is one of the notable areas that are a must visit while on a safari at Lake Mburo, this is one of the point where most animals come for salt liking more especially buffaloes, zebra and other wildlife species after go back to the lodge for relaxation and refreshments for lunch and later check out of the lodge for a drive to Entebbe airport with a brief stop at Kayabwe equator station for equator experience, as you take photos and buy souvenirs at the craft center while carrying our last memories about the 10 days Uganda safari experience.
